The Silmarillion & The Book of Mormon

Both books are worth reading. I strongly recommend reading The Silmarillion by the time you reach Words of them which have Slumbered. An audio version of The Silmarillion can be found here.

For The Book of Mormon, I would recommend at least reading The Abridged History of The Jaredites.
